It is highly recommended to ALWAYS replace your door gasket when replacing an igniter, as a leaking door gasket can contribute to igniter failure. The installation process is easy: 1. Turn the dial control to the off position and unplug the power. 2. Unplug the wire leads to the igniter. 3. Remove the screw from the side of the igniter chamber, pinch the bracket ends together, and pull the igniter out. 4. If necessary, the chamber can be removed from the rear of the firebox by removing a 1/4-20 bolt. 5. Reinstall the new igniter into the chamber using the bracket. 6. Ensure the igniter is centered in the chamber by inspecting it from the front of the unit.
